Pittsburgh Superstars: Jaromir Jagr

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh superstar Jaromir Jagr exploded onto the hockey scene in 1990, winning the Stanley Cup in his first two years with the Penguins.

He also went on to greatness in the Olympics.

Jagr won the gold medal with his home nation of the Czech Republic in the 1998 games in Nagano, Japan. He was also on the bronze medal winning Czech Republic team of 2006.

Although The Czechs didn’t medal in 2010 in Vancouver, Jagr was the flag bearer for his home country.

In all, Jagr participated in the Olympics five times.
