Community members give haircuts and meals to dads in honor of Juneteenth and Father’s Day

MONROEVILLE, Pa. — A community organizer gave back in a big way on Father’s Day in Monroeville.

Bridget Thompson and other sponsors gave away meals to dads, and local barbers gave free haircuts.

There were several activities for dads and their children.

Thompson says she’s trying to bring the community together, and what better time to do it than on Juneteenth.

She tells Channel 11 that she’ll continue to have events that honor everyone.
