Meth lab bust leaves Beaver County neighborhood unnerved

A call to 911 for an overdose led police to finding a meth lab in a Beaver Falls neighborhood this week.

A yellow flyer taped to the door of the apartment warns Morado Dwellings neighbors that police found a clandestine lab inside on Monday.

lice tell Channel 11 there was hazardous material inside the apartment, and they had to wear hazmat suits to retrieve it.

Neighbors told Channel 11 they saw officials suiting up and wearing masks, and knew they were dealing with a meth lab.

Robert tinker lives right next door. He says he saw everything.

"They were bringing out all kinds of drugs and putting it on a table wearing suits and masks," he said.
Police were initially called for an overdose but once they got inside they found much more.

Angel Ikard lives a few doors down. She says the bust is something neither she nor her 2-year-old son should have to witness.

“This is a place for kids,” she said. “They shouldn’t be around this. You come here, you get in, you clean up your act and get out.”

None of the neighbors had to leave their homes, but it’s not clear when or if someone can live in the apartment again.
