The Plum School District has settled a lawsuit related to the teacher sex abuse scandal.
In September, a woman claimed the district ignored allegations that Joseph Ruggieri was having sex with students. The woman said she started having sex with Ruggieri when she was 17 years old.
Channel 11’s news partners at
reported the details of the settlement are still being finalized.
Ruggieri pleaded guilty to criminal charges and is serving up to five years in prison. Former Plum teacher Jason Cooper and substitute Michael Cinefra are both serving jail time for similar reasons.
