A North Braddock police officer who is
resigned from his position after an allegation of sexual assault surfaced.
Police confirmed earlier in the week that Michael Foley was suspended until further investigation for the suspected misconduct regarding the online ad.

On Friday, the Cranberry police chief said a woman filed a report alleging Foley sexually assaulted her inside a Cranberry hotel room in April.

Foley's new attorney, Phil DiLucente, confirmed Friday night that his client has resigned from the North Braddock Police Department.
"You need to devote all the time and resources you can to such a very, very inflammatory situation," DiLucente said.
He said Foley is disappointed and upset by the allegations.
"All of the allegations that have been made are false," DiLucente said. "I think when all the facts do come out, my client will not be in any trouble whatsoever, and he did not commit any crimes."
Foley is scheduled to meet with the police chief and his union representative early next week. Stay with Channel 11 News and WPXI.com for continuing coverage.
