BUTLER, Pa. — The Emily Brittain Elementary School in downtown Butler wasn’t taking any chances with the smell of gas in the area that over took most of Main Street Monday morning.
The Butler Area School District superintendent made the call.
Channel 11 was there as little kids evacuated the building and got on school buses to go to the intermediate high school. Some parents showed up to take their kids home.
