Woman found slumped over in car dies of gunshot wound in Pittsburgh's East Hills

PITTSBURGH — Authorities and paramedics were called to the scene of a shooting Monday night in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood, investigators said.

Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer told Channel 11 News that a report came in at 9:12 p.m. for a woman with a possible gunshot wound slumped over in a car in the 2200 block of Wilner Drive. The scene is less than a mile away from where another shooting took place

Schaffer said a passerby pulled the victim out of the car, and officers began CPR when they arrived, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the victim is 25, but they have not released her name. No arrests have been made.
