Steelers to host AFC championship game pep rally Friday

PITTSBURGH — For the second Friday in a row, the Steelers are hosting a special pep rally in hopes of getting their second playoff win in a row.

The pep rally is scheduled from 5:30-8 p.m Friday at Stage AE on the North Shore.

Steelers alumni Kevin Greene, Hines Ward, Chris Hoke and Brett Keisel are expected to attend. Other entertainers and will be on-hand, including Steelers game day announcer Larry Richert, DJ Steve Maffei Jr. and the Steeline Drumline.

Admission to the event is free for all Steelers fans and the first 1,000 fans will receive a giveaway item at the door. Also featured will be a Terrible Towel Twirl, drink specials throughout the evening and more.

The Steelers will face off against the New England Patriots at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, and the winner will earn the AFC championship title.
