PITTSBURGH — Severe Weather Team 11 is tracking snow showers this morning with temperatures in the 20s.
LIVE NOW: Track the rain and snow on Doppler 11 Radar
UPDATE: 2:20 P.M. TUESDAY:
Lake effect snow showers will continue off and on tonight and again tomorrow-keeping roads wet, and reducing visibility at times. Additional snow accumulation will be light, but-untreated surfaces will be icy as temperatures hover in the mid 20s.
Check on neighbors who may struggle keeping their homes warm. And don't forget the pets - bring them indoors and, keep an eye on their paws after walking, as snow, ice and rock salt can aggravate them.
You'll need the extra layers to stay warm again at the bus stop tomorrow morning, as wind chills dip into the teens.
UPDATE: 12:30 P.M. TUESDAY:
Snow showers are continuing across much of the area. Severe Weather Team 11 Meteorologist Danielle Dozier is watching several particularly strong bands.

Scattered snow showers will occur throughout the day, some moderate to heavy in intensity which will limit visibility. Areas of blowing snow are forecast as winds gust occasionally to 30 mph. Strong winds will lead to wind chills in the teens and 20s through the day.
Highs today will only reach near freezing but it will feel much colder. Light snow accumulation is likely around our area with higher amounts as you travel north out of Pittsburgh.
