PITTSBURGH — The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night walk happened Thursday at Heinz Field.

The annual event funds treatments that are saving lives.

Family, friends and co-workers gathered together to celebrate, honor or remember those touched by cancer.

Nora Caporali led the way during the walk on the North Shore. It is a big honor for the 3-year-old, but it comes as she faces the fight of her young life.

Walkers carry lanterns with special meaning. White lanterns are carried by survivors, supporters carry red lanterns and people walking in memory of loved ones lost to cancer hold gold lanterns.

Channel 11's Katherine Amenta sat down with her family. Watch her full story in the video above!
