‘The Voice’ First Look: Is the ‘country king’ Blake Shelton burnt out?

Four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice” returns Monday, and the judges were quick to start poking fun at one another.

In this first look clip from NBC, you see Gwen Stefani go from complimenting boyfriend, and fellow judge, Blake Shelton to questioning if the ‘country king’ is burnt out in a hilarious banter.

Don’t miss the season 19 premiere of “The Voice” Monday at 8 p.m. on Channel 11.

You can expect plenty more judging comments as the blind auditions continue with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the show’s 19th season.

In addition to this, expect to see some production changes as the competition takes COVID-19 safety precautions on set, like a virtual audience with fans joining around the country and judges coming up with some unique ways to welcome contestants to their teams.

Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum global superstar Stefani returns to “The Voice” to join acclaimed coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Shelton in the iconic red chairs for Season 19. Carson Daly returns as host.

The show’s innovative format features four stages of competition: the first begins with the Blind Auditions, then the Battle Rounds, Knockouts, and, finally, the Live Performance Shows.
