Two people have been charged with selling heroin laced with the deadly tranquilizer carfentanil in Beaver County.
Reginald Bernard Davis and Hakeem Shamier Stuckey are charged with numerous crimes.
Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier said Stuckey and Davis are both charged with selling narcotics resulting in death.
Stuckey, 19, is charged with manufacture, deliver or possession with intent to manufacture of deliver. He is also charged with drug deliver resulting in death in connection with a November incident. Stuckey’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 31.
Carfentanil is an elephant tranquilizer that is 1,000 times stronger than morphine. The Beaver County coroner said a dose the size of a grain of sand can be fatal.
Davis, 29, is charged with two counts of manufacture, deliver or possession with intent to manufacture of deliver. He is also charged with drug deliver resulting in death in connection with a December incident. Stuckey’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 27.
