PITTSBURGH — A police pursuit ended in Beechview after another car was shot at in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood.
Pittsburgh police arrested Devonta Coaston, 19, of Duquesne Heights and Keevenn Montazz Jackson, 18, of Brookline after running from police.
A police officer was taking information for a police report Sunday night around 11:50 p.m. for a hit-and-run incident when they heard around 10 to 15 gunshots, according to a release.
The officer then saw two vehicles speeding on Climax Street toward Beltzhoover Avenue. Police say the officer then pursued both vehicles and was able to pull over one of them.

The driver told police he had been shot at while driving but was unharmed.
A vehicle pursuit then began around 1 a.m. early Monday morning in Knoxville.
The chase ended after the passenger, Coaston, bailed from the vehicle and ran at the 100 block of Cape May Avenue in Beechview.
Police say they spotted Coaston in a backyard and then took him into custody.
A gun was recovered on scene and Coaston had multiple bundles of heroin and cash on him, according to police.
Police say Coaston is facing several charges including criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, persons not to possess firearms, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Jackson is being charged with criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, driving without a license, and several other charges, according to police.
