CUMBERLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man is accused of breaking into a Cumberland Township home Saturday, kidnapping a 12-year-old girl who lived there and raping her, police said.
Martin Folan Jr., 20, claimed he had been in a relationship with the girl for several weeks, police said.%

The girl’s mother told officers that Folan kicked in the door to her home, pulled her daughter out of a closet and accused her of cheating on him.
Police said Folan took the girl to a friend’s home in Nemacolin and sexually assaulted her numerous times, preventing her from leaving. She returned home Sunday and told police what happened.
A man, who didn’t want to give his name but identified himself as Folan’s best friend, said he was home when the girl was taken.
“From what I seen at first, the little girl, she wanted to be, she wanted to leave the house with Marty. But then afterwards, once I seen the little girl sitting down and stuff, I could tell she didn't want to be there,” he said.
Folan was arrested and is facing a number of charges, including rape, kidnapping and burglary. He was taken to the Greene County jail on $250,000 bond.
