SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — Shooting photographs and storing them digitally has become old school for South Koreans.

A digital photo studio in Seoul takes photography to the next level by making 3-D figurines of people and pets.

Once inside a column-shaped booth, more than 100 cameras simultaneously snap photos from all angles.  Turnaround time on the figurines is just a day or two.  The printing is done at a plant that uses a machine to build figures ranging from about two inches to nearly a foot in height.

The price ranges from 99 dollars to nearly 300 dollars.

Seventeen-year-old American student Ashley Yaworski has been away from her boyfriend for a while.  So she decided to send him a 3-d figure of herself.

"With the figurine, I want to send it to my boyfriend who is in the United States and that way he has a figurine of myself. So I thought like it was a neat idea where they can have 3D figure of myself instead of just a picture," said Yaworski.
