NEW FLORENCE, Pa.,None — Three people in Westmoreland County have been charged with helping to hide a fugitive, officials said.
David McGinnis was wanted on charges of insurance fraud and setting his Fairfield home on fire, police said. He was captured in South Carolina in 2010.
His wife, Denise McGinnis and two others are charged with hiding him for months.
According to the criminal complaint, one of the suspects owns a snow mobile shop and allegedly drove David McGinnis to Canade to help him escape.
Neighbors in New Florence said it's hard to believe he was able to hide in such a small town.
David McGinnis committed suicide in jail last year.
