Acting Dormont Police Chief Reinstated 1 Day After Suspension

DORMONT, Pa.,None — The acting police chief in Dormont was reinstated on Tuesday after he was suspended on Monday.

Mayor Thomas Lloyd ordered a one-week suspension for acting Police Chief Richard Dwyer.

Dwyer was put back on the books Tuesday by the borough manager.

Lloyd said Dwyer didn't assign a police officer to cover an afternoon shift last Thursday, and it was irresponsible.
