MURRAYSVILLE, Pa. — Investigators upgraded charges Friday against the teenager accused in a knife attack at Franklin Regional Senior High School that left 21 people injured, some seriously.
Alex Hribal, 16, now faces 21 counts of attempted homicide for the April 9 rampage. He was charged that day as an adult with four counts of attempted homicide.
After allegedly stabbing people in the halls, police said Hribal refused to drop the knives when he was confronted by an Assistant Principal Sam King.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Hribal said "No, I am not dropping them. My work is not done. I have more people to kill."

King was able to take Hribal to the floor and disarm him, police said.
Murrysville Police Chief Tom Seefelt told Channel 11 the new developments paint a disturbing portrait of a troubled teen.
"He made a statement like that when he was initially caught up that he wanted to do more than he did but fortunately, it came to an end when it did," said Seefelt.

The FBI continues an analysis of computers and video games seized from the Hribal home. Police are waiting to see what they reveal.
"We go through the investigation and see if anything develops. That maybe clears things up for us in his thought process throughout this whole situation," said Seefelt.
Two students remain hospitalized at Forbes Regional. Greg Keener, 15, is in critical but stable condition and Connor Warwick, 16, is in fair condition, according to a hospital spokesman.
Two others were released this week after spending two weeks in the hospital. Jared Boger, 17, a junior, was discharged from UPMC Presbyterian and Derek Jones, 17, a junior, was treated at Forbes.
Hribal's preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday at the Westmoreland County courthouse. Hribal has remained at a juvenile facility since his arrest.
