Pittsburgh police are searching for the person or people who vandalized a memorial to fallen police officers.
The letters “A-C-A-B” were spray painted on the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on the North Shore. The acronym is a derogatory anti-police message.
Public Works crews cleaned up the graffiti Friday morning.
The president of the police officers’ union said he is disturbed and upset by the vandalism, as were visitors to the memorial.
"I think people should have respect for their community and furthermore they should have respect for the police,” one visitor said Friday.
"If they truly have a complaint with the policed department, they should take it up with local politicians or the police department themselves."
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
