A strike has been averted for teachers in the Keystone Oaks School District.
According to the Keystone Oaks Education Association's Facebook page, a tentative agreement has been reached.

Teachers in Keystone Oaks School District announced a strike threat days before school is supposed to start.
The union, which represents 160 faculty and staff members, says teachers will hit the picket line Aug. 24 if the two sides don't come to terms on a new contract by midnight Friday.
Channel 11's Jennifer Tomazic learned the sticking points in negotiations are salaries and the terms of agreement.
In March, talks came down to the wire. The teachers avoided a strike by getting a retroactive one-year extension.
That contract expired at the start of last month.
Bargaining sessions are scheduled Wednesday and Thursday nights.
