IRWIN, Pa.,None — Police have identified the man found dead in a creek in Irwin on Wednesday.

Officials said the body of David Munnerlyn, 41, was found in a creek by landscapers working off Route 30 near the Irwin exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Michael Jupina was one of the landscapers who noticed the body. He said he didn't know what to think.

"With it being Halloween, we thought it was a scarecrow or a prank," Jupina said. "When we went down over the hill to verify. We saw it was a body and called 911."

North Huntingdon Township Police Chief Michael Daugherty said foul play doesn't appear to have played a role, but a final determination will be made after the autopsy.

Police are investigating the situation and have not released any other information.

Toxicology results will not be made available for a few weeks.
