FREEDOM — Police were called to Economy Elementary School in Freedom, Beaver County after a bomb threat was found on a teacher's car in the parking lot.

Ambridge Substitute Superintendent Dr. Joseph Dimperio released a statement saying law enforcement was contacted as a precaution, which is part of district protocol.

He says students and staff were evacuated to the Junior High School for the rest of the day.  From Chopper 11, you could see police at the school and students being loaded into school buses.

Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz learned the Allegheny County Bomb Squad checked the vehicle and found nothing suspicious.  The school was also searched and cleared.

Dr. Dimperio added, "The safety of our students and staff are of the utmost importance and our safety process was carefully followed."
