PITTSBURGH,None — A child is recovering after being struck by a car in Pittsburgh's Arlington Heights neighborhood.
The accident happened at about 6 p.m. along Arlington Avenue.
Neighbors told Channel 11 News the boy was outside with friends playing with a hose. Police said he ran into the street from between two cars and was hit.
Neighbors said the street comes out from a hill, and it can be difficult for drivers to see.
"This is a bad accident, and it should have never happened," said neighbor Wally Gilmore.
According to police, there were no reports of speeding.
The boy is being treated at Children's Hospital, where his name and condition haven't been released.
