PITTSBURGH — Channel 11 News has confirmed that the missing 4-year-old girl has been found safe.

Emergency dispatchers told Channel 11’s Alan Jennings and Pamela Osborne that the girl was found at school.

According to Pittsburgh Public Schools spokeswoman Ebony Pugh, the girl – identified by her mother as Monet’ Blue – got to school Friday morning and gave teachers a wrong name.

When the school thought Monet’ was missing, staff went around to every room and asked for her, but she did not respond, Pugh said.

The school placed Monet’ in class based on the name she gave them in the morning.

After a frantic search, Monet’ was found safe at school and eventually reunited with her mother.
