PITTSBURGH — With upwards of 750 apartments in development along the relatively short span of 32nd Street alone, Hermitage-based Hudson Companies is making a move toward a redevelopment in the 2900 block of Smallman Street.

Harold Blumenfeld confirmed selling the property to Hudson after his family had sold their Gateway Paints and Chemical Co. business in 2019 after a run of 66 years in the city.
