CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. — Highlands Hospital in Connellsville has signed a definitive affiliation agreement with Penn Highlands Healthcare, the DuBois-based hospital system that earlier this year added Mon Valley Hospital in Washington County.
Terms of the deal weren’t announced. It’s expected to take effect in 2022.
Highlands Hospital said the independent hospital’s board of directors had been searching for a long-term partner and found Penn Highlands Healthcare would maintain and expand programs, bring in new physicians and staff, and infuse capital into the hospital.
