PITTSBURGH — The City of Pittsburgh announced the launch of Dashburgh, a new online platform that aims to capture various activities and data points from across the city to show such information in dozens of charts, graphs and other visual means.
Mayor Bill Peduto and the city’s Department of Innovation & Performance launched the platform in an effort to show more transparency in city government. The tool allows the public to see and explore data relating to the city’s operations, and it compiles information from more than 32 data sources including 311 filings, equity endeavors, financials, development efforts, public safety reports and others.
“We have worked hard over the past eight years to create a more modern, transparent government, and this comprehensive new tool allows our residents to see our open data in an easy-to-understand dashboard,” Peduto said in a release.
