Operator to present plan to put zip line on Mount Washington

PITTSBURGH — Mount Washington may be a tourist draw for Pittsburgh, offering sweeping views of the city.

But a new venture hopes to draw in visitors to hurtle down the mountain and across the river on a zip line.

The Mount Washington Community Development Corporation announced in an email that a venture called the Pittsburgh Zipline Co. will present a plan to establish a new zip line in the Duquesne Heights section of the hilltop neighborhood in an upcoming meeting later this month.
