PITTSBURGH — With the facility still all but shut down for regular convention business, the board of the Sports & Exhibition Authority today voted to approve $9.945 million in contracts to a group of construction firms to perform various upgrades on the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
The project is to rebuild and stabilize the facility’s fourth floor terrace, including adding a green roof.
It’s the second phase of a project overseen by the center’s construction manager, Albert M. Higley Co.
