Car Flies 100 Feet Over Beaver County Hillside

PULASKI TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — Chopper 11 flew over the scene in Beaver County where a car crashed 100 feet over a hillside.

The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Friday along 43rd Street in Pulaski Township, near New Brighton High School.

Emergency crews had to rescue one person from inside of the car. Police said the woman was attempting to back out of the school's parking lot when the accident happened.

Officer Alan Shaffer says

"She might have gotten confused. She started to back up and from that point, just lost control and just kept going down across the road," said Officer Alan Shaffer. "She just said, 'I'm OK. I want to get out. Just help me get out.'"

Police said the driver was not hurt, but was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
