Crews Remove Sediment From North Park Lake

WEXFORD, Pa.,None — Crews removed sediment from North Park Lake Thursday as part of a $13 Million restoration project.

Agencies have already drained the lake to prepare for the joint aquatic ecosystem restoration project.

Earlier this year, crews working to keep the sediment from spreading to pine creek. Thursday, the Army Corps stepped in to remove it.

Crews said drivers should be aware of the project and should expect more trucks in and around the North Park area.

North Park Lake is the largest man-made lake in Allegheny County. It was first built in 1935.
