Dozens of people have been arrested in Beaver County as part of a six-month investigation.
As of Wednesday afternoon, 76 warrants were issued and 43 people were in police custody. The suspects were picked up in areas throughout Beaver County, including Ambridge, Beaver Falls, Aliquippa, Monaca and New Brighton.
The Pennsylvania attorney general said officials deployed their mobile street crime unit six months ago to cut down on the drug problem in the county. The unit is funded with about $1 million from the state Legislature and is specifically used to help agencies across the state crack down on crimes involving heroin and other drugs.
However, Attorney General Bruce Beemer said they can’t do it alone.
"We cannot arrest our way through the heroin problem. It's going to take a (combination) of prevention, enforcement, treatment and understanding," Beemer said.

Keith Raymond Brown, 28, of the 3200 block of Bainton St., Pittsburgh, is charged with four counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility, as well as five counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (heroin).
Gregory Conrad, 28, of the 1900 block of 5th Ave., New Brighton, is charged with one count each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance (heroin).
Daron Choice, 26, of the 300 block of 12th St., Beaver Falls, is charged with four counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance, as well as one count of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance (crack cocaine).
Stephen D. Collins, 29, of Chicago, is charged with one count each of delivery of a controlled substance.
