TULSA, Okla. — An EMT from Oklahoma could be facing criminal charges after police say he made up a story about being attacked in a convenience store bathroom.
Officers say the medic told them he was stabbed at a QuikTrip in northwest Tulsa. He even described a suspect, but after police looked at surveillance video they say he made up the story.

The medic was on duty at the time. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

That EMT is now on unpaid administrative leave, according to a spokesperson, who also told KJRH: "We are just investigating what happened. We're making sure that we support our crews that are working today on the streets."
No word yet on what led the employee to hurt himself and lie to officers.
