FALMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS — Passengers aboard a Massachusetts ferry aided in the rescue of a dog swimming out in the Atlantic Ocean.
It was just supposed to be a fun day on sea for the passengers aboard the Island Queen ferry off the coast of Falmouth.
But then the passengers noticed an unlikely sight, a dog paddling away in the middle of the ocean.
The passengers tried to rescue the dog themselves but were unable to because the side of the boat was too high.
They then managed to flag down a nearby fishing boat and the fishermen picked up the dog as the ferry passengers erupted in cheers.
The dog is thought to have fallen off an earlier ferry and has been reunited with its owner.
