Your Favorite Costumed Characters Presented by The ToonSeum

Come down to 5th Avenue to see your favorite costumed characters including Hagar the Horrible, Betty Boop  & more presented by the ToonSeum!

The WPXI Macy’s Holiday Parade is proud to be working with the ToonSeum to bring fun costumed characters to make kids of all ages smile! Our lineup this year includes The Berenstein Bears, The Care Bears, Grimmy from the popular comic strip Mother Goose and Grimm, Angelina Ballerina, Betty Boop and Hagar the Horrible who is celebrating his 40th anniversary in the funny pages!

The ToonSeum is a nonprofit museum of comic and cartoon art. Founded in 2007 by cartoonist Joe Wos, the museum presents exhibitions of original art from animation, comic books, comic strips, editorial cartoons, greeting cards, games and so much more.

The ToonSeum has an average about 100 pieces of art on display at any given time, but the collection has over 3000 pieces of original art! Right now they have an exhibition or animation art from the 1990's everything from Rugrats to Beavis and Butthead! In January a remarkable exhibit called "Wonder Women on page and off, that celebrates the role of women as creators in comics” will open.

The ToonSeum is one of only three cartoon art museums in all the United States. Wos was inspired to create the museum after a visit to the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California, where he has been a visiting resident cartoonist for the past 12 years!

The ToonSeum is a place for guests of all ages, kids and adults alike and  located downtown at 945 Liberty Avenue. Please visit
