Puppy found frozen to ground, rescued and named 'Olaf'

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A puppy that was found frozen to the ground at a dump in Alaska is on the road to recovery.

"He was frozen so he got named Olaf," Kelly Brewer with Alaska Animal Rescue Friends told KTUU.

After being pryed from the ground, the Husky-Shepherd mix was taken to Anchorage. He arrived Wednesday underweight, with blood-shot eyes and achy muscles.

“He’s got a ways to go to be ready for adoption but then he’ll be available for rescue,” Brewer said

Olaf is staying with a volunteer foster family for now but will soon be eligible for adoption.
