MANSFIELD, Ohio — Cicadas have invaded the eastern part of the United States, including Pennsylvania and Ohio, and no one knows that better than one family in the Cleveland area.
Richelle Smart posted a video on Facebook which shows her 7-year-old son Dillon sweeping up
of the bugs on their front porch.

"The cicadas are so loud outside at my house that you can hear them when you are inside," Smart told Fox 8.
“There are many holes in my backyard where apparently they came out.”
Smart said the number of cicadas quadrupled over the past week.

With the cicada invasion expected to last into late June, there’s a pretty good chance that Dillon will have to do it all over again.
"Bless his heart. He is a brave soul," Smart said.
