PITTBURGH,None — Deena Nicole Cortese, one of the stars of MTV's hit reality show "Jersey Shore," took time out of her busy schedule to talk with See & Be Seen during her appearance at the World of Wheels show in Pittsburgh.
"I think Pittsburgh's awesome, so I'm really excited about being here," Deena said.
The show is not currently filming, but Deena said she is keeping busy with lots of new projects.
"The auto shows, I've been doing a lot of appearances. I've been getting my iPhone app out there. It's called 'Blast in a Glass' app. I also have a product line coming out, it's called Whisper. It's a hair product and it's awesome. I've also been doing jewelry, bracelets and stuff. So I've been doing a lot," Deena said.
Deena is on the go quite a bit, but whenever she has down time she said she can be found with her family, who she says is incredibly supportive despite her crazy antics on the show.
"I do travel a lot but whenever I'm home that's who I hang out with. I hang out with them, I hang out with my friends, and that's really all I do when I'm home," Deena said.
Deena also told us there's a new man in her life.
"I actually have a boyfriend now. We've been dating for almost six months, I met him after the season. He's awesome. I met him through my friends. It's crazy because I've always had the same group of friends and we just never crossed paths and then when I got home we did and it's just been 'merp' ever since," Deena said.
And what about her "Jersey Shore" castmates?
"I do keep in touch with all of the castmates. They're like family to me. I'm very close to Sam, she lives close to me. I talk to Nicole all the time. Me and Pauly and Vinny are very close. And I go to Jenni's house some times, because she lives around the block from me now in Tom's River. So it's really cool. I see them and talk to them all the time," Deena said.
The future of "Jersey Shore" is uncertain and MTV issued a statement last week in regards to another season. "Contrary to recent reports, a decision on whether the network will film a sixth season has not been made," an MTV spokesperson said.
"Jersey Shore" Season 5 airs Thursdays on MTV at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
