Drivers in West Virginia are most likely to hit a deer, and Pennsylvania isn't far behind, according to a list compiled by State Farm.
According to a claims analysis, drivers in West Virginia have a one in 41 chance of hitting a deer.
In Pennsylvania, which is ranked as the third-worst state for deer-related crashes, drivers have a one in 67 chance of hitting a deer.

2. Montana
3. Pennsylvania
4. Iowa
5. South Dakota
The likelihood of colliding with a large animal more than doubles during the months of October, November and December, which is deer mating season.
The national average cost per claim in deer-related crashes in 2015-2016 was $3,995.
