BURRELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — One person has died and another has been flown to the hospital after a truck flipped onto its roof on Rearick Road in Burrell Township, Armstrong County.
The Armstrong County coroner identified the deceased as Joseph Andrew Batiz, 26, of Vandergrift.

According to authorities, Batiz was traveling west on Rearick Road just after 6 p.m. when his truck overturned while trying to negotiate a left turn.
The truck went airborne and landed on the roof of the driver’s side.
Batiz was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries while the passenger in the truck was flown to UPMC Presbyterian after being ejected from the vehicle.
The accident happened at about 6 p.m. Sunday near Rearick Road’s intersection with Louden Road.
