Man dies after vehicle strikes oncoming tractor-trailer in Armstrong County, coroner says

BOGGS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man is dead after a crash in Armstrong County on Wednesday.

Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers says the crash happened just before 5 p.m. on Route 28/66 at the intersection of Hoover Road in Boggs Township.

Nathan Anthony Brown, 33, of Ridgway, was killed when his car crossed the center line and hit an oncoming tractor-trailer, trapping him in the driver’s seat, Myers says.

Brown was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox northbound on Route 28/66. The tractor-trailer he struck was a 2025 Kenworth.

Myers says Brown was pronounced dead on scene. An autopsy will not be performed, and toxicology results are not expected for several weeks.

The coroner’s office is investigating along with Pennsylvania State Police.

Route 28/66 was closed in the area until just before 9 p.m.
