1 dead, another injured following shooting in Pittsburgh's Spring Hill neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A shooting in Pittsburgh’s Spring Hill neighborhood Friday night has left one person dead and another injured.

Police said the attack occurred around 8 p.m. when three men forced their way into an apartment on Rhine Street. The men demanded money, and opened fire when they did not get what they wanted.

One man was killed during the shooting. The medical examiner identified him as Terry James, 38, of Spring Hill.

Police said drugs were found in the apartment and three people were taken in for questioning.

A woman was shot in the head and arm, and taken to Allegheny General Hospital, according to investigators. Her name and condition have not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
