1 person hospitalized, 1 charged after overnight shooting in Aliquippa

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — One person is in the hospital and another has been charged after an overnight shooting in Aliquippa.

According to a release from Pennsylvania State Police, Aliquippa police responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue for a report of a shot fired.

Police located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment in stable condition.

Police determined that Katrina Mills shot the victim.

Aliquippa police requested assistance from State Police, who took over the investigation.

Mills was taken into custody and charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering.

She was taken to Beaver County Jail and is awaiting court proceedings.
