PITTSBURGH — A person is dead following a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
At around 5 a.m., police responded to a 1-round ShotSpotter in the 7000 block of Idlewild Street.
When officers arrived, they found a male in the middle of the street who had been shot in the chest and was unresponsive.
Officers rendered aid until medics arrived, but he was pronounced dead on the scene.
At this time, there are no suspects.
Pittsburgh Police detectives continue to investigate.
