BUTLER, Pa. — An 11-year-old girl faces charges after police said she brought two knives to a football game Friday night at Butler High School, according to Channel 11's news exchange partners at Inside Butler County.
According to police, someone saw the knives and alerted school police, who called Butler Township police officers.

The girl cooperated, police said. She was later released to her parents, but police said they still don’t know why she brought the knives to the game.
She faces charges of possessing a weapon on school property.
School officials confirmed that there is a district-wide weapons policy in place, but cannot say if any actions will be taken against the girl.
