13 people displaced from their homes after fire in Allentown

PITTSBURGH — 13 people have been displaced from their homes after a fire broke out Sunday morning in Allentown.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, fire crews were called to the 1500 block of Arlington Avenue for a house fire around 5 a.m.

The main house that caught on fire was unoccupied and condemned.

The American Red Cross will be assisting residents with services and temporary housing.

EMS evaluated two people at the scene, but both patients told first responders they did not want to go to the hospital.

Fire Investigation Unit detectives will work to determine the exact cause of the fire.

Pittsburgh Public Safety thanked the Salvation Army for their support on scene.
