18-year-old killed, teen injured in shooting inside Penn Hills home

PENN HILLS, Pa. — A young man is dead, and a teen boy was critically injured in a shooting inside a home in Penn Hills early Tuesday morning.

The incident happened inside a home in the 100 block of Keefer Drive shortly after 2 a.m.

Allegheny County 911 was first notified of a shooting in the 200 block of Anthon Drive. That’s where a 17-year-old boy was found shot. He was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition.

While responding to that scene, Penn Hills police were notified of a second victim at the home on Keefer Drive. An 18-year-old was found shot to death inside.

Investigators believe the shooting happened inside the home on Keefer Drive, and the 17-year-old made his way to Anthon. It’s unknown if he left on foot or in a vehicle.

Inside the home, police said they found rifle and handgun casings, but the gun or guns used in the incident were not recovered.

Police told Channel 11 they believe another person may be involved.

Allegheny County Police continue to investigate.
