2 charged in connection with multiple copper wire thefts in Western Pennsylvania

Two people are facing charges after a six-month investigation into copper wire thefts that caused approximately $200,000 in damage across Greene County.

The Pennsylvania State Police arrested Glen Edward Miller II, 48 and Natasha Nicole Baker, 38, on Wednesday following the execution of search and arrest warrants.

Investigators spent six months looking into burglaries and thefts across the area. The incidents involved copper wire stolen from cellular tower sites, transformers and other local energy supply systems.

Both Miller and Baker are currently being held at the Greene County Prison following their arrests.

“The Pennsylvania State Police remain committed to investigating crimes that impact critical infrastructure and the communities we serve,” state police said in a statement.
