PITTSBURGH — Authorities have identified the two men who were found shot to death inside of a car in Pittsburgh's Perry South neighborhood Thursday morning.
Officials said Matthew Todd Burton, 21, and Deondre Kenny, 15, were found around 6 a.m. on Buena Vista Street. Police said both victims were shot in the head.
Investigators said someone walking on the road found the bodies and called 911.
"Where this happened at is behind the school where there are no residential views," said Pittsburgh police Cmdr. Thomas Stangrecki.
Stangrecki told Channel 11 News that a growing concern of police is the fact that there have been at least 22 shots fired on the North Side in the past five days.
Police said they believe a large amount of the shootings is fueled by a feud between gangs on the North Side.
Detectives have not released any information about potential suspects in the shooting. Patrols in the area will increase with officers in plain clothes and uniforms, as well as increased traffic stops.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
