MCCANDLESS, Pa. — McCandless police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men accused of pickpocketing an older woman earlier this month at Panera Bread.

Authorities said the pickpocketing happened Nov. 4 at the Panera Bread at McCandless Crossing.

Police said after entering the facility, one of the men put his coat over his arm on the bench where the victim in her late 70s was sitting to conceal the fact that he was removing credit cards and cash from her wallet.

McCandless Police Chief Gary Anderson said officers aren’t aware of any other victim but asks that if anyone else believes they were targeted by the men to come forward.

Anyone with information about the men in the surveillance photos is also asked to contact McCandless police.
